TRAN 2025 REVIEW
May 31, 2025 - Saturday
Move in Day – We parked tractors, trailers and campers at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in Norfolk, 2201 S. 13th Street, Norfolk, NE. All Saturday meals on your own. Those that had merchandise picked it up at the Moormeier’s Nebraska Land trailer.
June 1, 2025 - Sunday
We drove to 34 miles to Stanton and back to Norfolk with Scotty Andreasen as our Segment Leader
Tractor Church was held at 9:00 am at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in Norfolk with Scotty Andreasen and Steven Fisher leading the service. At 10:30 we departed for Stanton NE along the South side of the Elkhorn River, we picked up Stanton County and drove through the Stanton Nursing home before arriving at Wolf’s Den. We arrived at 12:30 pm for lunch which was a hot beef sandwich meal. After lunch we headed to Larry Clarks to see his collection of antique tractors. Returning to Norfolk there was mandatory fuel up at Cubby’s which was across the road from Ta-Ha-Zouka Park. The Nebraska Land Trailer, owned by Ron & Donelle Moormeier was the place to be for the evening meal sponsored by Steiner Tractor Parks. Social time and brats, salads and ice cream were enjoyed by everyone. We also had an auction to raise money for OCW/Gifts for Yanks. We had 54 people registered for the first day. It was a great drive and a beautiful evening for our picnic!
June 2, 2025 - Monday
We drove 64 miles to Pierce & Pierce County and back to Norfolk, Terry Oberhauser was our Segment Leader
The group left the park around 8:30 and drove to the Elkhorn Valley Museum at 515 Queen City Blvd, Norfolk. They normally are not open on Monday’s, however they open especially us to tour the museum. This is where they house Johnny Carson memorabilia and also the square turn tractor. As we left Norfolk we drove through the Norfolk Veterans Home and then to Randy Rolf’s to view his tractor collection. At 11:30 we drove to Pierce for lunch at Gilman Park. Food was catered by Tinkers Food Wagon and we there was a small museum for us to tour at the park. We then drove to Elwood Meier’s collection. On the way back into Norfolk the Legion Riders Escorted us down Highway 275 to VFW Post 6044 for our evening meal. Pizza was delivered and we purchased drinks from the VFW. We once again had a mandatory fuel fill at Cubby’s prior to retiring for the night at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park.
June 3, 2025 - Tuesday
We drove 45 miles to Columbus, Doug Kuester was our Segment Leader
This is the only time we will need to move ahead as we will stay in Columbus Ag Park the next two nights. The trucks and trailers moved ahead at 5:45 am and were back at Norfolk for drivers meeting at 8:30 am. This was the only day that we had to deal with rainy weather. It was raining pretty good when the drivers left for the Larson Dairy farm tour at 8:45 am. They had a special tour for us as they were shut down to public tours because of the bird flu. After the tour we headed to Creston for lunch which was sponsored by Mitchel Equipment at the Creston Community Center. Pure Nebraska’s Grace McDonald and a young lady from News Channel Nebraska where there to interview drivers. We then departed for Rosendahl Seed and Feed where we had a break and then headed to the Loup Power Powerhouse Park. Supper was at the Columbus American Legion which was catered by Wunderlich Catering.
June 4, 2025 - Wednesday
We drove 48 miles to Bellwood and back to Columbus with Scotty Andreason as our Segment Leader.
Drivers departed from Ag Park for Schuyler taking a Break at Parkview One Stop Convenience Store in Schuyler. After break headed to Bellwood for lunch at Frommy’s Grill. Departed Bellwood to a tractor collection and then to the Fire Truck Museum in Columbus. Drivers visited with each other while enjoying Subway boxed sandwiches for the evening meal at the Columbus Ag Park.
June 5, 2025 - Thursday
We drove 33 miles to Duncan and JC Lonestar Saloon in Polk County.
Drivers departed around 9 am for Duncan touring CSS Farms who produce Lay’s potato chips. We had lunch at My Place in Duncan and subsequently made a brief stop at JC Lonestar Saloon to ensure our visit included Polk County. Higgins Memorial Pawnee Park was the toured before returning to Ag Park in Columbus ending 2025 TRAN drive.
